How do you get the 7000 years from Noah to the End?

Mr. Campings case for the basis of his timeline:
2 Peter chapter 3:8
"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

Then...

Genesis 7:4
"For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth"

So.. going against the rule that scripture must compare with scripture Mr. Camping built his entire story off of these two pieces of scripture. He states that the words god spoke to Noah about 7 days can be converted into 7 x 1000 OR 7000 years because in 2 Peter 3:8 God said that a day is like a thousand years.

Wait! What is that I see in Genisis 7:4, something about 40 days? Are you thinking what Im thinking? God made it rain for 40 thousand years? How can Mr. Camping take a part of a scripture and apply his thousand years to what helps him most but not to another item that would blow it away? Because he is a false prophet that manipulates the word of god. God told Noah to get into the arc in seven days because he was going to die drowned like the rest of them if he did not. God didnt want Noah to die like that, he just wanted to clense the Earth and repopulate it with Noahs seed.

Nothing you do will save you?

Mr. Camping always insists that there is nothing you can do that will insure you are saved. This is because god saved his people before the foundation of the world.
Pretty simple concept. If the list is already made and the sins are payed for then one would think there is no possibility of being added to that list once it is made.

Well.... Mr. Camping got cornered last night, 11/10/09. He was asked why he says there is nothing we can to to insure we are saved but he also says that if you dont believe that the end is 21 may 2011 then you are suredly NOT saved. This tells me that the inverse is true, if you do believe this then you may be saved, it does not assure you of this but this seems to be a condition of being one of the elect. Which according to Mr. Camping means that you are not to depend upon your faith in Jesus Christ, God, the commandments, the word of god nor any other concievable thing, but the prediction of may 21, 2011.... sure, why not, it says in the bible that those that know the time must profess their knowledge.... but at the same time it says those that believe in me will be saved... so which part of this testimony should we believe?

All of it, the word of god is infallible.
Mr. Camping is bending the words of god to fit his aggenda, as we all know.
The word of god even talks about this, the false prophet that will use the word to begile the people....

Camping joke: "Who can eat more chicken McNuggets, God or Zeus?"

Haha, funniest thing ever, some guy is all serious asking Harold about this and that, confessions and whatever then he pops the big question: @54:25 on the 10/27/09 episode "who do you think could eat more chicken mcnuggets, God or Zeus"
Harold stopped the call with the excuse that he couldnt understand the caller.
Too funny.
Here is the episode: http://worldwide.familyradio.org/asxgen.php?url=/forum/2009/october/forum_1027.wma

Camping insult: "I think your full of crap"

In the 10-28-09 @1:14:30 time mark of the open forum radio show someone called in and when offered to ask a question they shouted "I think your full of crap".

I thought it was pretty funny, haha.
I wonder how many minutes he wasted for that?

Here is a link to the episode

Limits on punishment means no eternal damnation?

God said no more then 40 lashes, Mr. Camping believes this is to be used to mean that there is a limit on all forms of punishment no matter what the crime/sin is, it does not necessarily mean you should be beaten 40 times with a wet noodle because you stole an apple. BUT what this is being used for is to say there is no eternal damnation in hell.

Deuteronomy 25:2-3
2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Open forum question: Why did god create the world and its people only to destroy it?

Someone called in and asked Mr. Camping a very precise question.
"Mr. Camping, Why did god create the world and its people only to destroy it?"
He referred to the following bible verses and left it at that.
I dont get the reasoning %100 but I believe he means that there are other beings we are not aware of that are observing us as if we were gods project.... go figure.

Paul speaking to the Gentiles:
Ephesians 3:10
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Do miracles exist?

A most common question is "Do miracles exist?".
Mostly this is in reference to speaking in tongues and spiritual healing.
Harold has a ready response "Revelations 22: 18-19"
"18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Pretty simple, there are two verses after this entry into the bible, here they are:
"20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen"

Thats the end of the word of god.
His statment means after he pronounced the word "Amen" in Revelations 22 verse 21 there were no more forms of communications, demonstrations or anything else that can be faithfully declaired as "From God".

So if you think you had a chat with god it was either your immagination, a prank or satan.

Open forum question: How do you know the time of the end?

There is the question that is always asked about how he knows the time of the end when god says that no one knows the time of the end?
Harolds answer is that the statment is not so much that no one knows the time but it does NOT say no one CAN know the time. So basicaly he is saying that at that time god was saying no one knew, but he did NOT say they never would.
As a matter of fact he does say that they will know at the time of the end. Which is saying when we are at the time of the end we will know.
So maybe he is correct... if this is the time of the end, if it is not then he is wrong, so if that makes sense then the statment means that he is telling the truth but his truth may be wrong in regards to him knowing this.

Open forum question: What about the stuff you dont know?

Hi Harold Camping,
Many times I hear you say that you cannot comment on one verse/book or another because you would be speculating and you dont want to do that.
What you are telling me is that your statment that you must compare scripture with scripture before coming to a conclusion is applicable only to the people that call you? Because your own statments tell me that you have unknowns in the bible that could possibly undo your theory about the worlds ending on may 21 2011.
Can you honestly say the end of the world date if you have alot of bible content to speculate about?

Open forum question: a day is a year and a year is a day

How is it that the supposedly devine rule where god says "Be not ignorant of one thing, a day is like a thousand like a thousand is a day" or something very close to that. My question is how do you know when to apply this rule and when not to apply this rule?
You apply this rule primarily to the statment god said to Noah about getting into the arc, "You have seven days to get into the arc before I destroy the world" or somethign very similar. So you believe this means the people of the earth from this point forward have 7k years before the end of the world. Ok, I guess you can apply that to the statment, but why only that statment, is there a reason?
Also how does the rained for 40 days and 40 nights, should that be 40k days and 40k nights?

Calling into the Open forum

I have tried again and again to call into the show to ask Harold a question or two. Nearly impossible on a cell phone, I think the cell phones dont let you stay on ringing for long before it ends the call.
So I would like to start posting the questions I get going in my head here on my blog.
Harold Camping, if you ever read my blog would you answer them?
Probably not, but if so, thanks!

Harolds say on fellatio 10/21/09 @1:02:11 timemark

Someone finally had the cahonys to ask if "Oral sex" or fellatio was a sin.
He didnt miss a step, immediatly quoting something in Thessalonians about glorifying your spouse or something similar... I laughed to myself as he said "That is the worse abomination possible" yet I keep thinking about the 14 yr old they found in the garbage dump in Georgia yesterday that had to be identified via dental records after some monster snatched her off the street while walking home from school verses getting a lil touchy feely with my spouse and simply cant figure out how thats the worse abomination.

No date, correct broadcast however

Today I loaded up last nights recorded broadcast and see that the date introduction is still "edited out" but he immediatly made a mention of the fact that we are exactly 2 years from the end of the universe, oct 21, 2011.
So I guess they have something else happening thats keeping them from letting the introduction Harold does from being saved in the recordings. Oh well, maybe someone else will see my blog and have more information.

Are they retro editing their dates?

yes they are!!
They have gone back as far as 3/10/09 and edited out the mention of the date Harold did his show!
Why did they do this?
Some are so obvious that I can honestly critisize the editors failing skills.
I fortunatly have saved off many months of the recordings so I can review them.

If anyone has info please comment!!

What happened to "Family Radio"?

One night on my way home I was listening to Harold and someone had just asked him a typical question about his doomsday date and he started to answer the question then POOF! No more transmission.
Now I thought, hmm, power outtage, ok. I pick up the transmission via KARR radio so I am thinking they must have had a weather incident or something.
The next day... no Family Radio, for the next couple days NOTHING.
Finally after almost giving up, I thought they got bombed or something, he is back!
I was happy, I missed his voice and entertaining callers, but something strange had happened, his programs were different. Harold always opens up with something similar to "Welcome to the September 15, 2009 edition of Open Forum" now he opens with "Welcome to the Open Forum" and there is a notible edit pause where the date seems to have been omitted.
Until today 10/22/09 they still have no date.
If you check their archives many are re-runs of previous episodes are being used.

WHAT HAPPENED!?!?!
I find nothing after googling him except a single instance of someone asking what happened to the show.

Noahs flood

A huge point of the calculation is the date of the flood and also something god said about a day being a thousand and a thousand being a day.
I'll add specifics later.

So on todays broadcast Harold was asked a few times to answer a question and he ended up winding his way back to the may 21, 2011 story.
He was asked how many times in the bible does it talk about taking communion, no answer, ended up talking about how the cerimonial laws are not to be observed anymore and all of its thread on how that is. He does tell the truth from the bible but if his intention is to turn away people then he is probably doing a great job.
I think answering a few direct questions sometimes would help his listeners.
Not all are as educated in the bible as he is, he needs to understand that.

That was about it for today, a few ligit questions about this verse and that verse but watch out if you talk about anything that will lead him to his doomsday theory.
